He feels as though he's undeserving of forgiveness and Scott's pack, so he hides in the shadows and stays in the woods.   Malia Elizabeth Tate was born under the Tate’s name, her father Henry Tate is a hunter and supplier for the town, he spends a great time away in the woods, which also leaves Malia home alone, most nights. Her mother was sadly killed in a car accident with a drunk driver. Though, she grew up in Riverdale, her closest connection is Jughead Jones, he became her saving grace in second grade, when he kindly asked her to sit at lunch with him. Malia didn’t really get along with Archie or Betty, she always felt a little judged around them, because her family was so incomplete, but Jughead and her always connected and they grew up together, since second grade. In the present, she attends Riverdale High, and is finally coming out of her shell, and talking to more people. She was known as the quiet kid, but when Jughead started to pull away from her, she took that time to be more outgoing. She usually runs track and field and can be found playing sports to distract herself, and she still maintains a very strong relationship with Jughead, but also interacts with the others now.
